Effect of ABA and flurodino on regenaration Fritillaria imperialis L. in vitro

Effect of ABA and its inhibitor - fluridone was investigated on Fritillaria imperialis cultured in vitro. Regeneration abilities of shoot explants of different origin (underground shoot part, leafless and leafy above ground part) were not affected by ABA in range between 0.53 and 5.30 mg/cu.dm). However, presence of ABA in the MS medium was inhibitory both for shoot and root growth of the explants, evident especially after 3 months of culture and for higher ABA concentration. Fluridone did not counteract the action of ABA and while present alone in the medium caused inhibition of chlorophyll synthesis in plantlets
