Effect of L-tryptophane and indole-3-acetic acid on yield of field bean and soil microbial activity

In pot trial with field bean the effects of L-tryptophane and indole-3-acetic acid on field bean yield, the activity of some soil enzymes and number of soil microorganisms were studied. The above-mentioned chemicals were applied in different doses with or without soil inoculation with Rhizobium leguminosarum cells. It was found that L-tryptophane as well as indole-3-acetic acid did not positively affect field bean yield, whereas stimulated proliferation of some soil microorganisms even inhibited the activity of soil urease and dehydrogenases
