Content of trichotrecenes in grain, chaff and stalk of oat

Distribution of Fusarium toxins in various parts of small cereals grain is important health problem. In present paper content Fusarium toxins in oat samples collected in northern part of Poland is analysed. Oat plant was divided into three parts: grain, stalk and chaff. The higher concentration such Fusarium toxins as nivalenol, scirpentriol, T-2 toxin and HT-2 toxin was stated in chaff and next in stalk whilst the lowest concentration was found in grain. Taking into account deoxynivalenol, the higher toxims concentration was found in stalk and next in chaff whereas the lowest in grain. Comparing contamination in naked oat (Avena sativa var. nuda) and conventional oat (Avena sativa) cultivars higher concentration was stated in conventional grain
