Capecka, E. | Gaweda, M. (Agricultural University, Krakow (Poland). Dept. of Vegetable Crops)
The content of iron, manganese, chromium, nickel, zinc, copper, lead and cadmium was determined in roots, leaves, flower stalks and inflorescences. The level of metals and some physical and chemical properties of soil from under sampled plants were analysed. The accumulation of tested elements in plants depended not only on their concentration in soil but on its sorption capacity and organic matter content, as well. The degree of metal gathering within a plant differed. In roots the highest content of zinc, copper and cadmium was noted, in leaves - that of manganese, chromium, nickel and lead, in inlorescences - of lead
