The aim of the work was to evaluate the effectiveness of battery farming according to traditional technology. Indicated analysis, which has been undertaken and based on data gathered from three types of farms, has shown that the economic situation of a farm which works in a traditional way and produces less than a big battery farming is much more worse. In the area of small producers there is a great need of modernization of buildings and technological systems, especially nutrition and watering, heating and ventilation systems
