Potash fertilizers were broadcast 2 weeks before sugar beet sowing. Dose of 200 kg K2O/ha decreased considerably beet emergence. Increase of K dose from 100 to 200 kg K2O/ha influenced significantly the increase of root yield, recoverable sugar yield, sugar and K content in roots. Twice spraying with 5 percent solution of MgSO4.7H2O at 200 kg K2O/ha dose significantly increase sugar yield. Application of Kamex gran at 100 kg K2O/ha dose influenced profitably on the content of sugar as compared to potassium salt. No significant effects of different fertilization variants on the occurrence of leaf diseases of sugar beet was recorded. Kamex gran fertilization decrease infestation of sugar beet leaves by Erysiphe befae and Cercospora beficola
