In the paper are analysed the production and economic results in selected goats breeding namely individually and in total. The average goats numbers of 488 pieces in 1999 and 484 pieces in 2000 shared with 14% on the goats number with the higher concentration in the Slovak Republic. As to results of individual breeding, in the two-year period it was discovered following range: goats fertility 124.1% - 157.2%, milk production per goat - mad 132 kg - 369 kg. By the economic results, revenues ranged from 4,657 SKK to 8,585 SKK and costs ranged from 6,492 SKK to 8,818 SKK. Considering the change of stock level of products and animals, the incomes ranged from -480 SKK to -2,584 SKK per one structural goat - mad pre year. Low goats efficiency was manifested through loss-making breeding. Improvement of utilization of production potential (by one or two thirds) and goats efficiency are the assumptions of profitability achievement in the watched period, and by receiving the subsidies to rationalize the input spending mainly with respect to goats efficiency
