In 1995-1997, 21 white clover (Trifolium repensi) cultivars from the world assortment were evaluated at the testing station of the RIPP [Research Institute of Plant Production] Piestany. In the set the basic economic (plant weight, plant height, regrowth intensity and seed weight) characters and selected qualitative (fiber, N-compounds, phosphorus, potassium, calcium), biological (percentage of surviving plants, total health condition) and morphological characters were evaluated according to the descriptor of Trifolium repens L. The cultivars 'Alice', 'Aran', 'Donna', 'Merwi', Olwen', 'Siwan' and 'Retor' have shown excellent results in plant weight and height and re-growth intensity. Plant weight and height were found higher by the cultivars 'Sandra' and 'Gwenda' meanwhile seed weight values were higher by the cultivars 'Alice', 'Merwi', 'Sonja', 'Siwan', 'Olwen' and 'Sandra' in comparison to that of the control cultivar
