The work describes a way of creating the database of mechanization means for the needs of a computer software "Economic evaluation of machine systems" and the use of this software for assessment of the machine systems which are utilized in growing stone fruit and kernel fruit. The source of the database was systematization of the working and technological processes which are currently used by the top fruit growers in the productive areas of the Czech Republic. The model technological operations, which were modified for individual sort of fruit, make it possible to sort working operations by the use of the dial method. Available machines were proposed for each operation and processed by the dial method. The database itself includes technical and economic indexes of the machines proposed, i.e. type, working swath, purchase price, size, machine aggregation requirements, and standard performance efficiency. To obtain these data, a survey of machine users, time pattern of machine operations and information provided by producers or dealers were used. The database developed in this way enables an easy economic evaluation of machines using the above computer software
