Geological questionnaire of the Society of Serbian Science in 1860

The Society of Serbian Science initiated on July 1, 1860, questionnaire with ten questions in the field of geology. A letter was sent to many district physicians, but answers from Sabac, Uzice, Valjevo, Jagodina, Aleksinac, and Knjazevac are only survived. The questions were the following: are there any ores in district and are they exploited; is there washing of gold; is there a lome stone and is there the production of lime; is there a soft and hard stone; is there a good earth for bricks and pottery; is there a grindstone; is there a stone for millstone; is there a hard coal and is it exploited; is there a peat and is it used as fuel; are there any caves, and water and excavated bones in them etc.
