Influence of lactation per order [of] goats on body mass and daily gain [of] kids of Domestic [Balkan] goat

The results of exploring influence the lactation per order of goats - mothers on body mass, gain and average daily gain in suckling kids of Domestic Balkan goat that is grown at the mountain of Sarplanina (Serbia&Montenegro). Explorings were conducted in flocks of Balkan goats of private breeders. In the period from January to May of 1996 and 1997, 428 single kids and 282 twin kids were measured. Per order lactation, (P0.01) significantly is influenced on the body mass of kids per checking periods. The average values of total and daily gain during the sucking period were significantly differ (P0.01), gradually increased to later lactations per order while the least values were determined (9.53 kg and 105.64 g) at kids from the youngest goats. Kids that mothers were in fourth and later lactations values were 11.12 kg and 123.35 gr.
