A metaboloc profile of mother-swine with provet non vital and high mortality in new born pigs

Cases of disbalance in littermate pigs with predominant number of small, not vital, anemic newborn pigs and high mortality periodic were occupied about 20% of the littermates in one swine farm on industrial tekhnology. To clear up digression of which blood parametersin mother-swine metabolic profil are in relation with health status of newborn pigs, in this study were investigation the full blood picture, calcium, phosphorus, protein, albumin, cholesterol and blood glucose levels. The results showed that calcium/phosphorus, protein and glucose metabolic disbalances, whith proved significant low levels of the respective parameterrs in mother, are causes for the bad health status in newborn pigs.
