Bentonite as a binder for agglomeration of different materials in pelletizing process

In this paper, use of the "Sipovo" bentonite clay as a pelletizing binder in pelletization of the various materials: limestone, used for neutralization of acid soils, fluorite concentrate, used in metallurgy, metallurgical powders of different compositions, produced in "Sartid", is presented. Each of these materials is virtually useless in the form of powder; for this reason, they are coarsened by a method of pelletization, using bentonite as binder. Finally, a review of mechanical characteristics of prepared pellets, relative to the amount of spent binder, is presented.
