Range condition and traditional grazing management in Borana, Ethiopia

In this study, rangeland composition, current range condition and traditional grazing management systems practised in Borana rangeland were investigated. However, it was concluded that current condition of Borana rangeland was generally good. In most of the areas studied, the Borana model of grazing management followed rotational grazing systems. In this way the grasses in the previous grazed area will get time to recover until the animals grazed the other portions living the rangelands in good condition.
