Hybrid-specific fertilization of sunflower

The fertilizer response of different sunflower genotypes was studied on chernozem soil in the Hajdusag (region of east Hungary) in 1999-2001. The results proved that the observed sunflower hybrids adapted fairly well to different cropyears. The maximum yields, averaged over the hybrids, were 4218 kg/ha in favourable year, 3658 kg/ha in average and 3020 kg/ha in dry cropyear.
