In the development of the medicinal and aromatic plant sector, regional aspects beside national traditions, and supply of market demands played an important role. A considerable number of developments of world wide significance contributed to the good reputation of this sector. Production of medicinal and aromatic plants, essential oils can be divided into three parts: 1.Collection, processing, distribution; 2. Large- and small scale cultivation; 3. Cultivation and processing of industrial crops.
