Shoot pruning : A viable technology for late age silkworm rearing

Indian traditional method of silkworm rearing takes high labour leaf plucking, feeding and everyday bed cleaning. Besides maintenance of hygenie condition is also a difficult task up to crop harvest. To overcome this problem and reduce the cost of production, the shoot feeding method of rearing needs a1 new technology that is practised in advanced countries like Japan and China successfully throughout the year. It is a shoot feeding method which is economically viable, easy to follow, and saves time and labours.
