Fifteen genotypes of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea (L.) czern & coss) were evaluated for twelve characters. The character association between yield and its components, was studied, which revealed that the yield was mainly correlated with the length of main fruiting branch, days to maturity and plant height. Further, the path coefficient analysis indicated that the days to maturity, length of main fruiting branch, number of secondary branches and plant height had strong positive direct effect on yield. Selection with greater emphasis on these characters would be effective in identifying best genotypes for higher yield in the Indian mustard.
