This paper analyze the influence of some factors to Scots pine regeneration in the clear-cutting of Nb site type. Investigation made 1-4 year old clear-cuts. The plots of 4 Square m area were designed in 5, 20 and 40 m distances from old forest edge. All investigated environmental factors (distance from old forest edge, the position of forest edge in relation to cardinal points, the aggressiveness of grass cover, the thickness of litter) and soil scarification has cumulative effect on Scots pine regeneration and density of new stand. The distance from old forest edge or residual seed tree is the main factor determined natural regeneration. With increase of distance from edge the density of regenerated stand decrease. Good regeneration of variable 2-3 year old seedlings (6000 per ha) was observed in 30 m-wide zone.
