The analysis of the conditions of forest resources shows that the amount of deciduous tree stands is increasing. The speculations about the deciduous trees gradually overtaking the conifers have been heard before. It could be attributed to global warming. Scientists think it is due to human activities. Our local forest specialists have come to the conclusion that it is happening because of the drawbacks in the planning of economic activities. In the report of the programme on the forest and its related branches it has been written that since 1995 the amount of deciduous tree stands has increased from 42% to 43%, while amount of pine stands has shrunk from 40% to 38%.
