Dutta, V.K. | Pokhrel, D.N. | Maharjan, R.(Regional Agricultural Research Station, Nepalgunj (Nepal))
A field experiment under irrigated environment for two consecutive years 2000 and 2001 was conducted at RARS Nepalgunj in split plot design to study the response of spacing/seed rate. Four dates of sowing commencing from October one to November 15 at an interval of 15 days and three spacing i.e. 50x5 cm, 50x10 cm and 50x20 cm were studied. October 16 to 30 was observed the optimum sowing date. Earlier and later than the date there was drastic reduction in grain yield. With increase spacing a reduction in seed yield was observed.
