This project was conducted in two different sites, at Dingras, Ilocos Norte and Bantay, Ilocos Sur [Philippines] from December, 2000 to April, 2001 to determine which among the glutinous corn varieties could give the highest yield and good eating quality (Cornick). The study was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design replicated four times. The glutinous corn varieties which served as treatments were: MMSU variety; Los Banosd lagkitan; Isabela white (IES-1); Farmers variety Ilocos Norte (IN-FV); Farmers variety Ilocos Sur (IS-FV) and Isabela White (IES 8908). Results showed that the grain yield at 14% MC of different glutinous corn varieties had significant differences. Under Ilocos Sur condition, MMSU variety, IES-1, IES 8908 and IS-FV gave the heaviest grain yield while IN-FV gave the lightest yield. In Ilocos Norte, IS-FV produced the heaviest yield while Los Banos Lagkitan gave the lightest yield. This reveals that IS-FV is adaptable in the two Ilocos provinces. In terms of their economic analysis, the highest net income and return on investment (ROI) was obtained by IS-FV with values of P58,162.50 and 29% for Ilocos Sur and P54,456.00 and 243% for Ilocos Norte respectively. For the eating quality evaluation, among the three panelists who evaluated the finished product, two of them preferred IN-FV to be the best and most suitable among 6 varieties tested. Los Banos Lagkitan, MMSU variety and IS-FV are also recommended for cornick production
