Twenty-five bacterial species were identified from the irrigated lowland rice ecosystem. Fifteen isolates had antagonistic effects on ShB [sheath blight], rice blast, bakanae (Bkn), and BLB. A microbial inoculant was formulated in media containing molasses, all-purpose flour, nutrient broth amended with iron, magnesium, potassium, and vitamins B and C, inoculated with three strains of Bacillus (subtilis, pumilis, and polymyxa). The inoculant was inoculated with and evaluated against ShB and bacterial wilt (Ralstonia sp.) in bitter gourd. It did not suppress but reduced their severity
