Studies pertaining to the effect of various levels of zinc sulphate on the yield and yield components of wheat variety Inqilab-91 was carried out at the agronomic research area, University of Agriculture Faisalabad during the year 1995-96. Yield and yield components of wheat were affected substantially with the application of zinc sulphate except some of the parameters like plant height at maturity and straw yield. The highest grain yield (5161 Kg/ha) was obtained from the plots fertilized with 10 kg zinc sulphate/ha, while the lowest grain yield (4594 kg/ha) was recorded in control plots. It can be suggested from the results that application of zinc sulphate at 10 kg/ha seems to be most optimum and appropriate to get increased grain yield.
