Chronic bronchitis is a major health problem affecting the respiratory system in the present day world. Several drugs of herbal origin are used in the management/treatment of disease. Safoof Kakra Singhi consists of Kakra Singhi (galls of Pistacia integerrima), Zanjabeel (rhizones of Zingiber officinale) and filfil-e-daraz (spikes of Piper longum Linn.). The present study was conducted on 30 patients with chronic bronchitis. Clinical and laboratory findings clearly indicate the success of the unani formulation (safoof Kakra Singhi) in the treatment of chronic bronchitis.
