Eighteen cotton cultivars were tested against Amrasca Devastans (Dist.) at Central Cotton Research Institute, Multan during 2000. The cultivars CRIS-82 and MNH-536 were highly infested by jassid A. devastans (Dist.) while lowest seasonal infestation was recorded on cultivar CRIS-467 and CRIS-134. The cultivars having maximum hair density were resistant to jassid whereas the cultivars having minimum hair density were susceptible to jassid. Hair length has no significant effect on population of jassid.
