An experiment was conducted as pot trial. The experiment was carried out in a Completely Randomized Design with three replicates. Data for different growth parameters and yield characteristics were collected at maturity and statistically analyzed. The germination studies has revealed that except far radicle length Gibberellic acid (GA3) treatments have resulted in an increase in different germination parameters. Application of 25 mg/L GA3 has increased plumule length and dry weight of radicle while 50 mg/L GA3 has brought about an increase in fresh and dry weight of plumule in unsoaked seeds. Fresh weight of radicle was maximum due to application of 25 mL;/L GA3 applied to unsoaked seeds. The growth parameters were differently affected by different methods of gibberellic acid treatments.. Shoot length and root length were effectively increased by soaking of seeds in 50 mg/L GA3. Dry weight of root and number of nodules per plant were maximum due to seed soaking in 25 mg/.L GA3 followed by a spray of same concentration. The most affective method of gibberellic acid (GA3) application as indicated by the results seed soaking + spray of 50 mg/L GA3. Dry weight of shoot number of leaves per plant, leaf area per plant and mass per plant give the best response towards the above mentioned methodology. Shoot length, number of nodules per plant and shoot dry weight showed a slight decrease towards the spray treatments of gibberellic acid (GA3). Yield and yield attributing. parameters showed an increase due to the application of gibberellic acid (GA3) treatments. Maximum number of pods per plant were achieved due to spray treatment of 25 mg/L GA3 whit the maximum number of seeds per hod were recorded in response to seed soaking in 50 mg/L GA3. Seed soaking + spray of 25 mg/L GA3 appears to be best application of gibberellic acid (GA3). Maximum, pod length, 100-seed weight and yield per plant were achieved due to this treatment. Various growth parameters like shoot length, root length, dry weight of shoot/root, leaves per plant, leaf mass per plaint and number of, nodules per plant showed significant results for varieties, treatments and VXT interaction, due to different treatments of GA3. Pod length and yield per plant were only the yield parameters in which varieties and treatment interaction was non- significant in soaking and foliar application of GA3. Non- significant differences between varieties were recorded for number of pods, pod length and number of seeds/pod while other parameters like 100-seeds weight and yield showed significant difference for varieties. From the above results it can be concluded that variety V1 (6601) was high yielding as compared to V2 (NM-92).
