The experiments concerning the relationship between size of mother tuber and some features of progeny plant were conducted during 1981-98. Altogether 37 cultivars from different groups of earliness and suitability's were tested. The tubers from the smallest mass (below 20 g) till 200 g were taken from each cultivars. It was confirmed that the shape of tuber is connected with cultivar and as bigger the mass of tuber as larger is the elongation coefficient. It was founded that cultivars produced different eye number per the smallest tuber and the regression coefficient of this feature per unit mass were statistically different. Similar relation was found between the main stem number and percentage of sprouting eyes
