Statistical analysis of adaptation of winter wheat genotypes using mixed models for genotype-environment data

The objectives of the paper were to present a statistical approach to both compare genotypic means of yield and analyse the yield-stability of genotypes in a population of locations constituting a target region, to apply the approach in a real case and determine usefulness of it to select those genotypes among studied in a series of variety trials which were mostly close to a norm of wide or specific adaptation. Both statistical analysis of these data and inference were performed on the basis of mixed Shukla's model or Scheffe-Calinski's one
