The Training Workshop includes country papers from several African countries and lectures about earth observation satellites, geographic information systems, remote sensing applications to desertification, desertification factors in the Syrian steppe, principle of satellite images visual interpretation, and integration of remote sensing data into geographic information systems. Fourteen African countries participated in this Workshop.
