Studies on weed control in no tilled pineapple cultivation were conducted during June 1991 to August 1993 in Phetchaburi Horticultural Research Station. Randomized Complete Block was designed with 3 replications and 8 treatments. No-tilled cultivation and herbicides were used to eradicate weeds at 1 month before planting pineapple shoots. Dimefuron+diuron 320+240 g ai/rai and hexazinone+diuron 160+240 showed good efficiency for weed control without affected to the crop. Moderate weed control obtained from the treatments of glufosinate NH(+)4+diuron and paraquat+diuron at the same rate of 160+240 g ai/ rai while bromacil 320 g ai/rai gave good control during the first 3 months. Imazapyr 40 g ai/rai followed with paraquat 160 g ai/rai showed excellent weed control, but this herbicide caused phytotoxic effect to pineapple when planted at 1 month after herbicide application. However, tilled cultivation before planting showed better weed control efficacy than no tilled cultivation which yield was differ by 14.3 percent
