Study on integrated control of brown planthopper (BPH) Nilaparvata lugens Stal. by using predacious bug Tytthus chinensis Stal. and neem extract was evaluated on potted 50 day-old rice for 2 weeks. It was found that using either the bug or neem at 150 ppm or together was effective to control brown planthopper. The comparisons were based on height, number of panicle per hill, dry weight per hill of rice, and number of the first generation progeny of BPH. Neem extract did not affect the survival of the first generation progeny of the predacious bug.
