Weed diseases in northeast Thailand

Survey, collection and study of diseases of weed from different locations in Northeast Thailand were made during February 1996 to May 1997. Most diseases were found caused by fungi, and few were caused by virus or mycoplasma like organism (MLO). The fungal diseases were leaf spot caused by Alternaria sp., Curvularia sp., Cercosporella sp., Drechslera sp., and Sphaeropsis sp.; leaf spot and leaf blight caused by Colletotrichum sp., and Cercospora sp.; powdery mildew caused by Oidium sp.; and rust. The virus disease symptom was mosaic, and disease caused by MLO was white leaf.
