Captivity breeding of fish is becoming necessity as natural habitats are less favorable for fish spawning. Breeding success is often influenced by the nutritional status of the broodstock. The present article overviewed role of particular nutrients which affected on reproductive potential of fish. Quality and quantity aspects of the nutrients required by broodstock for reproductive success were discussed.
