Opinions of villagers on community land use for forestry development: A case study in Chombung district Ratchaburi province

This research was made to gather people's opinions on community land use for forestry development. Statistical package for the Social Science (SPSS) had been used in this research. Three hundred villagers of Chombeung District, Ratchaburi Province was selected using purposive sampling and quota sampling system for interviewing. According to the result of data collection, the villagers agreed to use their public land for forestry development purpose. There are many factors which differentiated the villager's opinions, that is 1) education level and land ownership, 2) ages and occupations, 3) news and 4) their understanding of community forestry knowledge. They are also many factors resulting in the positive opinions of villagers i.e. sexes, ages, educational levels, incomes, occupations, and the amount of occupied land.
