Objective of this research was to follow up the adoption of the main and minor occupation promotion of the people in the Mae Oaw Watershed Area Development Royal Initiated Project, Lamphun Province after one year implementation. Four hundred and forty four samples were selected by Multi-stage Sampling technique from the total population of 3017 households. From research findings, it was found that the main occupation (agriculture) and the minor-occupation (hired labour) had increased by 2 and 4.9 per cent respectively and the total income had increased 13,318.58 Baht. Agricultural product management by totally sold out was decreased by 8.3 percent and by partly sold out was increased by 6.5 percent. The adoption of promotional practice in terms of conservation e.g. chemical application, slash and burn practice had also increased. It was suggested that agricultural technology as well as natural resource conservation should be urgently promoted in order to prevent environmental problems in the future.
