[The necessity of carrying out changes in the world environmental policies]

Observed are changes in the world environmental policies, the first concept of which was formulated at UN Stockholm conference of the on the environment in 1972. Stages of ecologization of the world policies are determined. The 70-80-ies are recognized as period thereof which is characterized by searching the solutions for ecological problems by means of concluding concrete, special ecologically-orientated agreements and conventions. Provided is a list of agreements of ecological content and that of ecologically-orientated initiatives in the economic agreements. A concept of the sustainable development of the environment was adopted at the UN conference in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 whereupon a social concept gained accelerated development. The sustainable development of the environment is considered in a concrete manifestation of the "environmental health" (a new term in the world environmental policies). A list of anthropogenous pollutants of the environment, associated with human activities is given. Considered is the level of preserving the biodiversity as a criterion of the environmental health. The determining of the quality (health) of the environment is assessed according to the state of ecosystems, living organisms and human health
