Four guava varieties viz. Kanchannagar, Kazipiara, Mukundapuri and Swarupkathi were evaluated at Agricultural Research Station, Khagrachari during growing period of 1990-1991 on three different hill elevations expressed as hill foot, mid hill and hill top. Kanchannagar produced the maximum number of fruits (176.98) per plant while, Kazipiara produced the highest per plant yield (21.08 kg) having similarity to those of Kanchannagar (19.96 kg). The heaviest fruit was obtained in Kazipiara (189.48 g) whereas, Swarupkathi produced the lowest individual fruit weight (93.46 g). Guava plants on hill foot produced the best yield (16.61 t/ha) which was 6.79 t and 8.85 t higher than mid hill and hill top respectively. The highest yield (31.76 kg/plant) was obtained from Kazipiara when planted on hill foot.
