There are 49 compounds, mostly mixtures of two or more a.i. belonging to 22 chemical groups for fungicide treatment of seeds, tubers and bulbs. The preparations of these compounds are used as treatments for a considerable number of seed crops, seed potato tubers and seed bulbs. Currently, in our country there are a number of preparations based on 18 fungicides from 13 chemical groups for seed treatment of wheat (10 compounds), barley (4), oats (1), corn (4), sugar beet (3), soybean (2), sunflower (1), sugar beet (1), beans (1) and peas (1), followed by potato tubers (2), tulip bulbs (2) and gladiolus bulbs (1 compound). In our country there are no registered fungicides for treatment of a considerable number of seed crops and seed bulbs. One of the possibility of ensuring legal and reliable application for these crops as well is to register according to minor crops. Of the zoocides for seed and tuber treatment, seven insecticides from three compound groups and one bird repellent have been registered in our country. These are used as treatments for seed corn, sunflower, sugar beet and oilseed rape, seed potato tubers and as bird repellent for seed corn and seed sunflower. There is the need to register insecticides for some other crops as well, especially for the control of phytophagous flies but also as bird repellents.
