The aim of this study was to examine and establish characteristics, value, variability of walnut trees populations, and to select perspective forms for further selection and plant improvement work. Simultaneously, the most important biological, ecophysiological, pomological and technological characteristics of modern sorts and selections of walnut trees grown in the region Timocka Krajina were investigated.
