In this study, 350 rams were examined for reproductive fitness. In 59 rams (16.85) clinical manifestations of the testes or epididymides lesions or both were found. Disorders of only testes were recorded in 3.71 cases, of only epididymides in 6.84, and of both (testes and epididymides) in 6.28 cases. Microbiological examination showed no specific infection in native ejaculates. In some rams nonspecific microorganisms were isolated, which number was above the acceptable level. On the basis of the study results, it is recommended that the subclinical and clinical alterations of testes and epididymides should be promptly and adequately treated, and in the case of the reserved prognosis the reproductive rams should be replaced by the animals fit for reproduction. In order to prevent reproductive disorders in rams, it is necessary to conduct regular examinations, preventive vaccinations, antiparasitic treatments, provide adequate nutrition and housing, establish and perform optimal procedures for the use in reproduction.
