One of the project APOPSBAL workpackages covered the investigation of the assessment of the POPs in Serbia and chemical analyses of contaminated media have been performed in order to determine the level of contamination of soil, water, sediment, air and biological material in the zone potentially impacted by PCB contamination interactions, groundwater flow and transport of contaminants. Paper presents selected original results obtained during the first year of APOPSBAL Project.
