Quantitative-genetic analysis for milk yield of Simmental breed cows
2005
Panic, J.
For quantitative-genetic analysis, for milk yield of Simmental breed cows, were used data from two cattle farms. In the research 245 Simmental cows are included, that are the daughters of 10 sires, and all of them realized 548 lactations during the period 2000-2003. The full genetic, phenotypic and environmental correlations between milk yield and fat yield are presented in this research. In the other hand, correlation between fat percentage on one side and milk yield, fat yield and duration of all lactation on the other side were negative. There is full or very strong environmental correlation between milk yield and fat yield, showing there is the existence of strong united environment and nonadditive genes that effect on manifested milk traits. The environment do not have influence on fat percentage.
