This paper examines the nature and characteristics of financial service provision and financial service needs in the renewable natural resources sector (farming, fishing, forestry) in Ghana. Some options for change are explored, including lending to groups and linkages between formal and informal financial intermediaries, that would increase the supply of financial services to small scale operators in the renewable natural resources sector.
