2002
"Suzuki, K. (Japan. Ministry of the Environment, Tokyo. Global Environment Bureau)."
"Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) started its preparatory-phase activities from April 1998, based on the agreement at the First Session of the Intergovernmental Meeting on EANET, March 1998 in Yokohama, Japan, and commenced to the regular-phase activities from January 2001. This paper reviews the outcomes of the preparatory-phase activities, and based on the lessons learnt, evaluates the directions of future acid deposition research in East Asia. It further tries to identify various key issues to be tackled in respective areas, namely wet deposition monitoring, dry deposition monitoring, soil and vegetation monitoring, inland aquatic environment monitoring, and others. The author also tries to identify present problems of acid deposition research and suggests modalities to improve such research in Japan."
