The objective of domestication of indigenous fruit tree species is to identify priority species, together with the farmers, and introduce the selected species to the faming systems This paper presents the study of ten species, which have been identified in Kitui, Kibwezi and marigat. The study also aims to identify major provenance seed zone, delineate and map populations based ecological and geographic factors, study morphology and phonological characteristics.
