In the years 1996-98 field and laboratory experiments were carried out to determine the effects of genetic factor, harvest and threshing dates on dynamics accumulation of dry matter on seeds and chemical composition of seeds, pods and stems. The development of bean was assessted with respect to plant morphology prior to harvest. Chemical analysis of bean seeds involved: crude fibre and ash, crude fat, total protein and dry matter, K, Ca, P and Mg. The two - phase harvest, in comparison to direct harvest improved accumulation of dry matter, nitrogen free extract, total protein percentage in seeds and energetic value.
