Physiographical characteristic of upper part of Strzegomka (Poland) catchment
Czamara, A.(Akademia Rolnicza, Wroclaw (Poland). Inst. Inzynierii Srodowiska)
In the paper the morphological, geological and hydrological characteristics of the Strzegomka catchment (Poland) have been presented. The catchment is of an agricultural type with intensive poultry farming. On the surface of the catchment there are semi-permeable rocks, which cause intensive surface runoff. Due to the runoff, the fast increase of the water stages and flows in streams occurs. Intensive runoff, improper use of organic and mineral fertilizers, defective waste disposal in the catchment, these all cause the deterioration of the quality of the water (as well surface as groundwater) supplying Dobromierz - the drinking water reservoir
