Influence of varying soil tillage on the number and vertical distribution of weed seeds in soil of the winter wheat monoculture

The work presents results of an experiment over the number and vertical distribution of weed seeds in soil profile of 22 year-long winter wheat monoculture in varying post-harvest and presowing soil tillage. The results indicate that reducing the depth of ploughing (from 20 to 12 cm) and tillage without ploughing is conductive to accumulation of weed seeds in uppermost layer.
