The subject of the examination was the influence of cytokinine (BA, Kinetyna and 2iP) upon the propagation of Hedera helix L. sprouts of the cultivars: Dark Pittsburgh and Kolibri in the in vitro cultures. Both cultivars gave the greatest number of: angular sprouts upon the MS medium complemented with BA in a dose of 2 mg/cubic dm + NAA 0.5 mg/cubic dm. The length increase of the sprouts was most strongly influenced by Kinetine used in the concentration of 0.5-2 mg/cubic dm and also BA in low concentrations 0.5-1 mg/cubic dm. As the coefficient of propagation is rather low, the most efficient method of Hedera propagation is the stimulation of length increase of sprouts and them into one-node fragments. With the use of the control medium complemented with NAA 0.5 mg/cubic dm all the explants have taken roots
